The process

What happens, week by week.

Most people want to know two things before they commit: how long this takes, and what they are actually paying for. Here is the whole sequence.

  1. You get in touch

Call or text (661) 505-5555, or email me. You reach me, not a call center. We talk about what has been happening and whether an assessment is the right path at all.

    Day one, no charge

  2. We agree the fee and book the intake

I quote the fee before anything is booked, so nothing later is a surprise. If you would rather think about it, think about it.

    Day one

  3. The clinical evaluation

A full intake session: history, current symptoms, how they affect your sleep, work, study and relationships, and what role the animal plays. This is the evaluation California requires, and it is the foundation of everything that follows.

    Week one

  4. Sessions across the 30-day window

We continue to meet. I am forming a clinical view over time rather than from a single snapshot, which is precisely what the law is asking for and what a housing provider is entitled to expect.

    Days 1 to 30

  5. Your documentation is issued

If the clinical picture supports it, the letter goes out carrying my license type, number and jurisdiction, the date our relationship began, and confirmation of the evaluation.

    After day 30

  6. Landlord follow-up, included

Property managers often send their own verification form. I complete it at no extra charge. If they come back with questions, I answer them.

    As needed

  7. Annual re-evaluation

Your mental health changes, and housing providers want documentation that reflects now. We meet again each year so that what the letter says remains true.
